I discovered my God-given passion
I started LCU because I knew there was a call on my life and I needed to begin preparation. That was all I knew, however, during my time at LCU, I discovered my God-given passion. I began teaching at the women's prison campus as well as the Brooksville campus and I love it.
The program is accelerated because of the way the classes are lined up — the students learn precept upon precept — line upon line.
I love LCU and am so thrilled to be part of planting these solid truths into the hearts and minds of the men and women of God.

Using my evangelism style
While in class studying evangelism, it was interesting to discover my evangelism style was "testimonial." I never knew I had a "style." The class assignment was to use our evangelism style to minister to an unsaved person. We were instructed to think of three people and choose one to accomplish this goal. I chose my three, but God had another plan.
The very next day, a young lady called our office seeking someone to talk to and pray with her. I work in the Social Service department for Catholic Charities and people often mistake our organization for a church. Most times, I tell people we are not a church and attempt to refer them to a nearby Catholic church.
This time, I told the young lady we were not a church, but I would love to talk with her and pray with her. One hour later, I was leading her to Christ, using my testimonial evangelism style. God knew I needed to see the power of what I had learned and the power it has to help save lives. I'm loving LCU!

I am a more effective pastor
LCU professors understand what it takes to be a pastor and puts the student within reach of becoming an awesome leader with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Since I have attended LCU, I have better direction and procedures in pastoral leadership. I am a more effective pastor because of the public speaking techniques I have learned: LCU has increased my skills in teaching the Bible, and my topical sermons are better.
Plus, since I have earned a Bachelor's degree, my salary on the job has increased.
